The Bucket Garden!!!

 Spring is officially in full-swing! I have survived a week of Spring Break and my unhappy campers are getting booted back into school tomorrow. I’m excited and kind of sad about their going back. No, I am definitely NOT one of those moms that wants my kids to never leave the house. The reason I’m somewhat sad about their going back to school is because summer break is going to be here soon. Then they're here for 3 months!!!

The Jesus Juke

I learned something today. I try to learn something new every day, but some days I fail and other days I learn 20 new things at a time, granted I forget them easily. Maybe I should set things up to songs from the 80’s. I remember every single song lyric I’ve ever heard. It’s a strange thing to be able to bust out Vanilla Ice’s Ice Ice Baby when my kids sing the first lines but forgetting why I’m holding a towel in my hand or why I’m even in that room. I digress.

I have been a Christian since I was 6 years old. For those of you counting that’s (mumble mumble) some odd years ago.

My thoughts on the Oscars, Matthew McConaughey and God

The Oscars were on Sunday, March 2nd. As a fan of movies, I'm usually a fan of awards shows. I like to compare the movies and actors that I thought were transcendent in films to what others pick as the best of the best. I'm always way off the mark. That's ok, because I like the pageantry, the dresses, the performances, the John Travolta-moments. Oh yeah, we were doing a live blog post during the broadcast and was truly dumbfounded when I heard that jumbled up name. Idina Menzel was a good sport about it. We all make mistakes but some are much more public than others.
